To ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone, please follow these guidelines:
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in: 2 pm. Check-out: 1 pm
Quiet hours: 10 pm to 7 am (non-camping visitors must leave by 10 pm). During this time, please keep noise to a minimum to respect fellow guests.
Early check-in or late check-out must be approved by management in advance and may incur additional fees.
Appearance and Vehicle Standards
RVs and vehicles must be operable, in good condition, and free of unsightly or excessive repairs. Older RVs (typically over 10 years) may require approval from management for entry into the park.
Exterior tarps, extra air conditioning units, or visible duct tape are not permitted.
All hoses and wires must be routed through designated ports.
Do not leave personal property unattended for more than 24 hours.
Site Standards
Limit one RV, one vehicle, and up to six people per site. An additional vehicle may be parked for a fee if space allows.
Keep vehicles on designated roads and parking pads.
EV charging is prohibited.
Maintain all belongings off the grass, and do not use adjacent sites or driveways.
Camp only in designated campsites. Do not place furniture, structures, or decorations that could damage the grounds or create hazards.
All wheeled vehicles and trailers must remain on roads and parking pads unless special management rules allow otherwise.
Guests must keep their sites clean, orderly, and free of debris. Trash should be bagged and disposed of in designated dumpsters. Do not leave trash or personal items outside of RV overnight.
The Guest is responsible for winterizing their RV and ensuring that the water lines and plumbing systems are protected from freezing during cold weather. The Park is not responsible for any damage to the RV, plumbing, or other systems due to freezing temperatures. Guests must take appropriate precautions to prevent water line damage.
Environmental and Safety Regulations
Do not hang items on trees/shrubs or gather natural resources.
Recreational vehicles, including ATVs, gas-powered scooters, and similar motorized items, are prohibited.
Campfires, firearms, fireworks, and open burning are prohibited.
Follow all city laws and park rules.
Protect local flora and fauna. Do not gather or cut firewood, dig holes, use insect-killing devices, collect plants or animals, or discharge sewage/gray water onto the ground.
Dumping waste or gray water on the ground is strictly prohibited. Use designated sewer connections and dump stations.
Temporary Use Only
Short-Term Stay: Sites are for recreational use only and not for permanent residence. As per city ordinance, no RV, mobile home, or travel trailer may be used as a residence or exceed a temporary stay of 30 days in the city of Buckner.
Pets
Up to two (2) common household pets (dogs and cats) are permitted with prior registration and proof of vaccination upon request.
Pets must be leashed (10 ft. max) and under control. Shock collars and similar devices do not meet leash requirements. Pets (except service dogs) are not allowed in buildings. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and any damages or injuries they cause.
Aggressive pets or excessive barking will not be tolerated. The park reserves the right to request removal of any disruptive pet.
Prohibited Items and Activities
No clothes drying or open storage outside RVs, no tent camping, and no vehicle washing.
Smoking is restricted to designated areas and prohibited in buildings and communal spaces.
Avoid excessive noise, disruptive behavior, or any illegal activities. Failure to follow park rules may result in removal without a refund. Guests are responsible for the behavior of their visitors and should ensure all visitors follow park rules.
The discharge of firearms, BB guns, fireworks, and similar devices is strictly prohibited.
ATVs, UTVs, golf carts, and go-karts are generally prohibited. Low-speed vehicles (maximum 25 mph) are allowed if they meet requirements. All motorized devices must be operated by licensed drivers.
No gas-powered exterior generators are allowed in the park. All RVs must use onboard electrical systems or quiet, park-approved generators. The use of external generators, especially noisy or gas-powered ones, is prohibited to maintain a peaceful and safe environment for all guests.
Selling items or campsites is strictly prohibited.
No political signs of any kind are permitted at any site within the park. This policy is in place to maintain a neutral and peaceful environment for all guests. Any signs or materials displaying political messages will be asked to be removed.
Damages and Responsibility
Guests are responsible for any damage to park property or injury to others caused by themselves, their visitors, or pets.
By staying at Fort Osage RV Park, you agree to these rules. Violations may result in penalties, eviction without refund, or legal action if necessary. For more information or assistance, please contact park management.
