Fort Osage RV Park has a long history rooted in family and community. Originally built in the late 1960s by Gene McCracken as a mobile home park, it was purchased in 1974 by the Gretzinger family, who made it their home. Wayne and Wanda Gretzinger raised their two daughters in the park, fostering a welcoming environment for residents over the years. Today, Wayne still resides on-site, while his daughter, Shawna, has taken over management and led the transformation of the property. In 2025, she oversaw a complete renovation, converting it into a modern RV park designed to meet the needs of today’s travelers. Now, Fort Osage RV Park offers a safe, quiet, and comfortable space for short-term stays, continuing its legacy of hospitality while adapting to the changing needs of the community.
